A five minute film which follows David and Winnie through their pregnancy. As they lie together, they discuss various aspects of the pregnancy, life, and the great change that is about to happen. Pregnancy is broken down into five stages: excitement, amazement, doubt, fear, and joy. The film is critical of current world affairs, yet ends on a high note.
We are looking for actors who will be able to be at ease and drop into the roles of David and Winnie easily, and be as comfortable around each other as David and Winnie, a married couple, would be.
Casting auditions are being held from 2:00PM to 10:00PM at York University on Friday, February 19th. Sides and room number/location will be emailed to those who reply to the ad.
Female / 25-30 yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
Winnie, married to David. She's intellectual, but reserved and processes events internally. She's quick witted and expects thought out conversation and understanding. She loves David very much, and is very comfortable with and around him.
Male / 25-30 yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
David, married to Winnie. They have a very close connection. He's intellectual, stubborn, and accepting. He's curious about pregnancy and the process surrounding it. He doesn't want to quit smoking (but never smokes in the film).
Duration: four days (two weekends), starts February 27
