Synopsis: In the near future, NeuroNet Chips have been implanted into many people’s bodies, globally linking millions of people. Joseph and Lynne are a young couple living in the suburbs, with Lynne enjoying her newly installed chip. But after discovering a fatal flaw in the technology, Joseph struggles to save Lynne’s life before it’s too late.
Characters
[JOSEPH] [LEAD] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 20-35]
Joseph, passionate yet casual, dreams of pursuing a musical career with his Indie rock band. Recently engaged to the love of his life, Lynne, Joseph is happy and content with the simple things in life. He is not naïve about the world, having traveled extensively, but knows that life is too short to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the rat race.
[LYNNE] [LEAD] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 20-35]
Lynne is a student in her 2nd year of law school. Coming from a relatively privileged background has made her accustomed to the finer, more expensive things in life. It has also fuelled her attraction to somebody different, like Joseph, with whom she is head over heels in love. An early adopter of any fancy new technology, she loves her gadgets and the social status they bring her. She studies hard and plays even harder.
[PHIL] [SUPPORTING] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 45-60]
A long time employee of NeuroNet and neighbour to Joseph and Lynne, Phil has been married to his job his entire life and married to his latest wife for about three months. More of a computer programmer than an executive, Phil’s lifelong dedication to NeuroNet has suddenly come crashing down with the discovery of a flaw in the system he helped build.
[REPORTER] [SUPPORTING] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 25-50]
Always first on the scene, the news reporter is quick to jump into the action, even at the peril of his own life. |
