A bored office worker decides to add some excitement to his life by searching the internet for an arch nemesis of his own. But be careful what you wish for, because you never know who might respond to your want ads...
Hello everyone, we are a student production team at Seneca College putting together a short film for our finals to graduate. We are looking for 4 actors: 3 males, 1 female, to be in our 12-15 minute film about the lengths some people go to get a little excitement in their lives and the consequences that ensue afterwards.
We are open to both ACTRA and non-union actors. Also if you are or are interested in becoming a member of ACTRA, you can earn your apprenticeship credits through our production.

Jane Doe (Secretary): Female, mid-twenties, 5’6”, wears her hair in a loose bun, attractive. Jane is Mike’s secretary, and is constantly flirting with Mike. She doesn’t know much about being a secretary, but somehow got the job anyway by flirting with him throughout the interview. She dresses professional in the office, although she makes sure to show her “assets” to remind Mike why she was hired.
2. Male / Any yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
Chris: Male, mid-twenties, 5’7” skinny, wears glasses and has short hair. Chris is a bit of a loaner when it comes to his job. His cubicle is located in a corner, and no one walks by it that often. Because of his shy nature no one notices his hate for Mike and Steve. He hates Mike because of the way he was able to excel in his job, while he still stayed at the bottom.Chris graduated from university the same time as Mike, and also got his job around the same time. Chris believes the only reason why he was able to get the promotions is because of his good looks. His hate for Steve is purely because he is friends with Mike.
3. Male / 25-30 yrs. / Caucasian
Mike: Male, mid-twenties, with a similar look to Steve, except slightly taller, and with a bit more of a build. Mike is a friend and co-worker of Steve. When going to work he dressed a bit nicer then Steve, and likes to flirt with the female co-workers. He is attractive and knows it, and likes to show it off. Mike graduated from university before Steve, and got his job right away. He quickly moved his way up the ladder, and proved to be a natural at his job.
4. Male / 25-30 yrs. / Caucasian.
Steve: Male, mid-twenties with dark brown hair and 5’9”, with an average build. Steve is the “Average Joe” of the movie. His hair is slightly messy, and is never clean shaven. When he goes to work he wears dark jeans, with a dress shirt that’s not tucked in all the way and a loose tie. On his days off he wears jeans and a plain t-shirt. Steve graduated from the business course at university a couple of years ago, and started working at his office job a few months after. He is single, and lives in a single room apartment by himself. The apartment is located just outside of downtown, so he takes the transit to work each day. |
